Your generosity is appreciated ...

On behalf of the Oakwood University Alumni Association of Southern California, we would like to extend our profound gratitude to you for your commitment and support of Oakwood University. Your spiritual and financial contributions have kept the doors of Oakwood University open, and it is much appreciated.

Since 1896, Oakwood University has been enriching the lives of individuals of all nations. The diverse culture of Oakwood University is seen across the school’s campus and across the world. There is not enough time or space in this letter to share with you all of the accomplishments of Oakwood University. What I can tell you is that Alumni of this University have learned valuable life lessons and gained the requisite education to catapult them to the next level of their professional, personal and spiritual lives. Don’t you agree that it is time to give back to the students of this institution?

The Oakwood University Alumni Association (OUAA) of Southern California raises funds to provide scholarships to local students of Oakwood University and to conduct outreach efforts to recruit individuals to the University. We invite you to come celebrate Oakwood University through praise and worship at our MLK/OUAA of Southern California Day with our very own Oakwood Alumni, Dr. Carlton P. Byrd of Oakwood University Church and the Breath of Life Ministries. This event will take place on January 20, 2018 at Breath Life SDA Church in Inglewood, CA. This day of praise, worship, and dynamic preaching will feature during the 11:00 am service, special musical guest; gospel recording artist, J. Moss. The evening program starts at 5:30 pm and will be a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through music and spoken word featuring various local special guests. As you come to praise and worship with us, we ask you to please come prepared to bless the Oakwood University Alumni Association (OUAA) with a generous offering in our efforts to provide scholarships to those seeking an education from Oakwood University; a top 10 Historical Black Colleges and University (HBCU). If you would like to donate for the 2017 tax season, we can accept your tax deductible donations now at www.ouaasocal.org. Just click the donate tab to make your contribution. If you are not able to attend the OUAA Oakwood Day on January 20, 2018, you can still donate through our sponsorship packages. In addition to any monetary gifts that you can bestow, we are also soliciting your prayers. We are counting on you to make us a strong and thriving group! We thank you greatly for your support and we look forward to seeing you on Sabbath, January 20, 2018 at 11am for the OUAA Day, at Breath of Life SDA Church on 425 S La Brea Ave, Inglewood, CA 90326.

May God continue to bless Oakwood as we continue to put “God First”!
